How our business is being impacted by covid-19

Updated: Apr 11, 2020

I feel like a broken record, but I have to say it again...... I have been in this industry for over 15 years and have never seen anything like this.

We are having a problem sourcing and receiving several products, including:

Chocolate Milk (due to cocoa powder shortage; partial shortage)

Eggs (due to shortage - perhaps all eggs some weeks and only some eggs other weeks)

Cottage Cheese - entire order the last 2 weeks

Strawberry Lemonade (due to concentrate shortage; partial shortage)

Orange Juice (due to concentrate shortage; possible entire shortage after this week)

Random Shortages of other products from time to time.

A more detailed blog about the egg shortage specifically can be found on our blog here.

The good news is I don't foresee any shortage on plain milk, bread, cheese, half & half and cream. Also, eggs seem to be balancing out in the market so issues sourcing them should only be for another week or two and our concentrates are scheduled to arrive any day now although we have no concrete date they will resume production. We are doing all we can to prevent these issues majorly impacting you.

Although it's never optimal, normally I could go to the store and buy the missing items to curb product shortages, but since every store has a 1 or 2 item limit per purchase it is not possible to drive to 100 stores every day.

We promise you we will do everything within our power to provide you all the products in your order as we can. If being shorted the above products is an issue, please send us an email and we can suspend your orders temporarily then contact you after these issues end; you can decide if you want to continue to receive our deliveries at that time.

If you have further questions, please email us at service@wasatchmilk.com and we will answer you back as quickly as possible.

Thanks,

Andrew Stolworthy
